Halloween is upon us, and Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Unbeknownst to most Americans, Thanksgiving became an official holiday thanks to the efforts of Sarah Josepha Hale, who was an editor for Boston Ladies' Magazine in the 1800s. Following a 40-year campaign of writing editorials and letters to governors and presidents, Hale convinced President Abraham Lincoln to proclaim the last Thursday in November as a national day of Thanksgiving. To make your Thanksgiving preparations much easier than the work that Ms. Hale tackled, I have amassed a Cornucopia of Thanksgiving Links about Entertaining. You'll find tips on creating centerpieces, how to fill your day with activities, Thanksgiving tablescape ideas, decorations, traditions, reflections, party planning and many more easy entertaining ideas revolving around Thanksgiving.
